Die Nitecore NU43 ist eine kleine und leichte Stirnlampe, die bis zum Turbo 1400 Lumen liefern und eine Reichweite von etwa 130 Metern bei einer maximalen Lichtintensität von 3800 cd erreichen kann. Die NU43 wird von einer internen, nicht entfernbaren Lithium-Ionen-Zelle mit 3400 mAh betrieben, die eine maximale Laufzeit auf der niedrigsten Stufe von 165 Stunden (6,87 Tage) mit einer einzigen Ladung garantiert. Die Nitecore NU43 ist mit zwei verschiedenen LED-Emittern ausgestattet: der weißen Haupt-LED, für die fünf Helligkeitsstufen ausgewählt werden können: Turbo (1400 lm), Hoch (600 lm), Mittel (300 lm), Niedrig (100 lm), Ultraniedrig (8 lm). Darüber hinaus sind auch spezielle Strobe- und SOS-Stufen mit 1400 Lumen verfügbar. Die Linsen sind vom Typ TIR mit einer Lichtdurchlässigkeit von über 94 % und garantieren einen klaren und ausgewogenen Strahl. Links neben der Haupt-LED befindet sich eine rote Zusatz-LED, für die Dauerlicht oder langsames Blinken gewählt werden kann. Die Nitecore NU43 verfügt über zwei verschiedene Schalter zur Steuerung der Benutzeroberfläche: einen Power-Knopf zum Ein- und Ausschalten sowie zur Einstellung der Helligkeitsstufen und einen Mode-Knopf zum Umschalten zwischen den Modi. Ein Doppeldruck auf einen beliebigen Schalter schaltet die Taschenlampe bei eingeschalteter Lampe aus. Die Nitecore NU43 verfügt außerdem über eine Batteriestandsanzeige: Diese besteht aus vier blauen LEDs, die die Restkapazität der Batterie anzeigen: Leuchten beispielsweise vier LEDs, bedeutet dies 100 % Kapazität, leuchtet nur eine LED, bedeutet dies etwa 25 %. Die Benutzeroberfläche der Nitecore NU43 ermöglicht zudem eine elektronische Sperre der Taschenlampe, um ein versehentliches Einschalten zu verhindern: Dies erfolgt durch gleichzeitiges Drücken beider Schalter. Im Sperrmodus sind keine Helligkeits- oder Sonderstufen verfügbar: Dies ist ideal, wenn die Taschenlampe in Rucksäcken oder Taschen verstaut wird. Die Taschenlampe wird über den seitlich versteckten Typ-C-Ladeanschluss aufgeladen. Ein vollständiger Ladevorgang dauert etwa 2 Stunden. Die Wasserdichtigkeit entspricht IP68 und die Fallfestigkeit beträgt 2 Meter. Das Gehäuse der NU43 besteht vollständig aus PC und Aluminium: Dadurch ist die Taschenlampe sehr leicht und praktisch zu tragen. Tatsächlich beträgt das Gewicht inklusive Akku nur 116 Gramm. Die elastischen Bänder sind bequem, weich und besonders elastisch. Sie ermüden auch bei stundenlangem Gebrauch nicht. Sie sitzen super bequem beim Joggen und halten die Taschenlampe sicher an ihrem Platz auf dem Kopf. Außerdem ist es möglich, das Licht von oben nach unten zu drehen, um den Strahl genau dorthin zu lenken, wo er benötigt wird. Die Nitecore NU43 ist außerdem mit einem Näherungssensor ausgestattet, der die Leistung automatisch verringert, wenn sich ein Hindernis vor der Linse befindet. Die Helligkeit wird auf das eingestellte Niveau zurückgesetzt, sobald das Hindernis entfernt ist. Dies erhöht die Sicherheit der Taschenlampe.
