Die Nitecore P23i ist eine kompakte, aber sehr leistungsstarke Taschenlampe für den alltäglichen Gebrauch oder taktische Anwendungen. Sie ist mit einer leistungsstarken Luminus SFT-70 LED ausgestattet, die einen Strahl mit einer maximalen Leistung von 3000 Lumen pro Turbo erzeugt. Unglaubliche Leistung im Vergleich zu der extrem geringen Größe dieser Taschenlampe. Die maximale Lichtstärke beträgt 55300 cd und die maximale Reichweite 470 Meter. Die Linse ist entspiegelt und besteht aus Mineralglas, während die Parabel mit der Luminus SFT-70 LED glatt ist. Dank der ergonomischen Gehäuseform liegt diese Taschenlampe auch während des Gebrauchs sehr gut in der Hand. Die zwei Schnittstellenschalter sind leicht mit dem Daumen erreichbar, wenn die Taschenlampe in der Hand gehalten wird. Die Nitecore P23i wird von einem 21700i 5000 mAh Akku (NL2150HPi Akku) betrieben, der der Taschenlampe eine Betriebszeit von bis zu 45 Stunden bei extrem niedriger Leistung ermöglicht.

Das Aufladen der Zelle erfolgt über die in Kopfnähe befindliche Typ-C-Ladeschnittstelle. Sie ist durch eine dicke Gummikappe gut geschützt, die das Eindringen von Wasser und Schmutz verhindert.

Die Nitecore P23i bietet dank der beiden taktischen Endschalter eine einfache Benutzeroberfläche. Ein Schalter ermöglicht das Ein- und Ausschalten der Taschenlampe durch vollständigen Druck bis zum Einrasten, während ein leichter Druck das Momentlicht aktiviert. Der zweite, als Modusschalter bezeichnete Schalter ermöglicht den direkten Zugriff auf das äußerst nützliche Stroboskoplicht, beispielsweise in taktischen oder Notfallsituationen. Zusätzlich blinkt das Stroboskoplicht mit variabler Frequenz für einen noch beeindruckenderen Effekt.

Obwohl das Ende nicht flach ist, kann die Taschenlampe stehend wie eine Kerze auf einer ebenen Fläche verwendet werden. Das besondere Design des Endes verhindert zudem ein versehentliches Einschalten, wenn die Lampe im Rucksack transportiert wird. Am Ende befinden sich außerdem große Löcher zum Einführen eines Lanyards oder kleiner Karabiner.

Die Lünette zum Schutz der Linse ist mit hochharten Kugeln aus Keramik ausgestattet und kann in Notsituationen als Glasbrecher verwendet werden

Das Temperaturregelungssystem (ATR oder Advanced Temperature Regulation) passt die Leistung des P23i automatisch an die jeweiligen Umgebungsbedingungen an, um stets optimale Leistung und maximalen Benutzerkomfort aufrechtzuerhalten.

Die Abmessungen betragen Länge 143,5 mm / 5,65 Zoll x Kopfgröße 31,8 mm / 1,25 Zoll x 41 mm (1,61 Zoll), während das Gewicht 114,5 g / 4,04 oz beträgt. Dies bedeutet, dass die Nitecore P23i eine Taschenlampe ist, die perfekt in jede Handfläche passt und auch bequem in einer Tasche, einem Beutel, einem Rucksack oder sogar in einer Handtasche getragen werden kann.
