Die Skilhunt EK1 ist eine sehr kleine und sehr leichte EDC-Taschenlampe mit einer maximalen Leistung von 180 Lumen. Sie ist mit einer Luminus SST-20 CCT6500K / Nichia 219F HCRI CCT5000K ausgestattet und ihre maximale Laufzeit beträgt 450 Minuten auf niedrigster Leistungsstufe. Die maximale Reichweite bei maximaler Leistung beträgt 66 Meter, die maximale Lichtstärke 1100 Kerzen. Die Skilhunt EK1 besteht vollständig aus Luftfahrtaluminium mit hart eloxierter Oberfläche und verfügt über ein Gehäuse mit feiner Rändelung, die die Griffigkeit verbessert und sie auch unter schwierigen Bedingungen, beispielsweise mit nassen oder feuchten Händen, perfekt macht. Ihre Wasserbeständigkeit entspricht dem IPX-8-Standard, sodass sie Spritzern und Regen standhält und sogar problemlos für kurze Zeit unter Wasser getaucht werden kann. Die Stoßfestigkeit beträgt bis zu einem Meter. Die Skilhunt EK1 wird von einer einzelnen eingebauten wiederaufladbaren Lithium-Ionen-Zelle Modell 10220 mit 130 mAH (Nennspannungsbereich: 2,5 V – 4,2 V) betrieben. Die Taschenlampe ist in zwei verschiedenen Konfigurationen (Luminus SST-20 CCT6500K / Nichia 219F HCRI CCT5000K) und in verschiedenen Farben (Karbonschwarz / Königsblau / Olivgrün / Leuchtendes Orange) erhältlich. Die Abmessungen sind extrem klein: Länge 50,5 mm, Kopfdurchmesser 14,6 mm, Körper 13,6 mm und das Gewicht beträgt 14,8 g / 0,52 oz (einschließlich Batterie). Ihre Benutzeroberfläche ist sehr einfach, es gibt nur 2 Stufen und sie wird durch einfaches Auf- oder Abschrauben des Kopfes aktiviert.
