Die Tank007 UV330 ist eine kleine und kompakte UV-Taschenlampe, sehr leicht und bequem zu tragen, zum Beispiel in der Hosen- oder Handtasche. Sie ist mit einer UV-LED ausgestattet, die einen Strahl mit 365 nm und 481.000 uW/cm² erzeugt. Der integrierte Konstantstromschaltkreis sorgt für eine stets stabile Leistung, auch bei sinkender Zellspannung. Darüber hinaus gibt es kein störendes PWM, wie es bei Taschenlampen ohne Konstantstromschaltkreis üblich ist.
Die Steuerung des Lichts erfolgt nicht über einen klassischen Knopfschalter, sondern das Ein- und Ausschalten des Lichts erfolgt über einen mechanischen Drehschalter: Tatsächlich reicht es aus, den Kopf leicht zu drehen, um das Licht ein- oder auszuschalten.
Die Abmessungen dieser Fingerlampe sind extrem klein: 7 cm Länge, 19,2 mm Gehäusedurchmesser und ein Gewicht von nur 21 Gramm ohne Batterie (1x AA wiegt normalerweise 6 bis 10 g). Die Taschenlampe besteht vollständig aus Luftfahrtaluminium mit eloxierter Oberfläche, was sie extrem robust, langlebig, kratz-, abrieb- und wetterfest macht. Sie ist sturzsicher bis zu 1,5 Meter Höhe. Die harte Oxidation des Gehäuses macht sie zudem extrem oxidationsbeständig. Die Tank007 UV330 ist außerdem eine sichere Taschenlampe, da sie über ein Polaritätsumkehr-Kontrollsystem verfügt, das Schäden an der Taschenlampe verhindert, wenn ein unachtsamer Benutzer die Batterie falsch einlegt.
Die Taschenlampe ist mit AA-Zellen verschiedener Typen kompatibel: So können sowohl wiederaufladbare 1,2-V-Ni-Mh-AA-Zellen als auch Alkali- und Kohlezellen verwendet werden. Am Kopf und am Körper befindet sich eine feine Rändelung, die die Taschenlampe angenehm in der Hand hält und zudem die Griffigkeit verbessert: Auch mit Handschuhen oder feuchten oder nassen Händen liegt sie immer perfekt in der Hand.
Das erzeugte UV-Licht kann in verschiedenen Szenarien nützlich sein: So ist es beispielsweise möglich, die Echtheit von Banknoten zu überprüfen, das Vorhandensein von Fett festzustellen, das Vorhandensein von Körperflüssigkeiten festzustellen oder es kann zur Behandlung von Harzen verwendet werden, die durch UV-Licht aushärten.
